Want to write something on this site?
Please direct your attention to a new page I’ve put up, “Write For Us“. Yes, that’s right, we are looking for people to write some guest spots for this blog! We can write enough on our own, but when it comes to Supreme Commander, enough is never enough: the more the better. If you’re a good writer you should have no problems whatsoever with contributing. If you’re not a good writer but you’re a top-ranked player, you can talk with us and help us write some strategy articles (or maybe we can interview you). We’ll even be authorizing author accounts for consistently good writers, so you’ll be able to post your work directly to the front page of this blog.
Why would you want to write for this blog? For one, you’ll get exposure to a large audience. We aim to be the number one Supreme Commander blog (who knows, maybe we already are? There aren’t too many Sup Com blogs out there). And why is a blog better than browsing the forums? One word: quality. Every post here is worth reading. The same can’t be said for forums (sorry Mr. Solar Bean). Spend just fifteen minutes a day reading this site and you’ll be caught up with all of the latest Supreme Commander news, strategies, and more. Spend fifteen minutes a day reading forums, and, well, you’ll see lots of whining, pointless arguing, repetition, and writing that is frankly painfully bad. Not here!
There’s one more question you may have that needs answering: who are we and why are we qualified to write this blog? Well, I’m a newspaper columnist and experienced blogger. I love writing and I think the Supreme Commander community deserves insightful commentary written by someone with experience in journalism. And as for Grokmoo — well, he’s just a genius. He’s graduating college with triple majors in Astronomy, Math, and Physics in only four years. So look for great things from him as well.
