First ever SupComTalk free-for-all exhibition match
This Friday at 8:00pm EDT Grokmoo and I will be hosting SupComTalk’s first ever exhibition match. It will be a 6-way free for all on Open Palms, which should make for one hell of a fast-paced, exciting match. If any of you SupComTalk readers want to face off against Grokmoo, myself, and some other fellow readers, this is your chance. Just sign up in the comments below. We’ll be taking contestants in the order that you register in the comments. Also, I suppose it’s wise to sign up two alternate spots, in case any of the registered participants are no-shows.
I hope to see you there. This is going to be one crazy experience. Of course, we’ll be posting the replay here and discussing it. The prize will be recognition as SupComTalk’s top player. At least until the next match, anyway!
Update 1: Okay, so the signups are proving to be rather popular. If necessary, we might end up wanting to run a second match at 9:00pm EDT with a different cast of characters. So, during signup, specify which session you’d be available for: the first, second, or both. If we don’t get eight separate signups some of the same players will be able to play in both games.
Update 2: Oh, and when signing up, include your GPGNet account name, so we know how to contact you when match time rolls around.

PowerCat: What Eastern Daylight Savings Time is is a question best answered by Google, not by other people who will have delay times of several hours in getting back to you.

I’m up for both those times, still only as an alternate though. GPGnet name is Jotto.
April 4th, 2007 at 1:58 pm
the answer to powercat’s question is GMT-5. Eastern time is -5 hours from GMT.
April 4th, 2007 at 2:12 pm
EST is -5. EDT, which we are currently in, is -4. Don’t give him the wrong answer :-P

Oh this is my GPGnet name - I’m available for them all but would prefer the first game as thats midnight in England, and FFAs are long games.

Looks like we have enough players for a 6-way FFA, assuming nearly everyone shows up. Don’t forget to be there on time!
