A guide for new readers
I’m realizing I haven’t made a truly meta post in awhile, so I’ll take another stab at it. Consider this “new reader education”. Our traffic numbers have grown a lot since the last time we did one of these. Anyway, here’s a nice recap of information about the site.
- March 4 – Welcome to Supreme Commander Talk – Our first post, announcing the creation of SupComTalk and laying out the general goal of the site.
- March 4 – Where this site’s header image comes from – Self-explanatory, really.
- March 6 – Want to write something on this site? – And yes, we are still definitely looking for reader-contributed content, so if you’re interested in that sort of thing, hit up the “Write for us” link in the sidebar.
- March 11 – Supreme Commander Talk gets a wiki – The announcement of the creation of our wiki.
- March 19 – The state of the blog – A previous meta discussion and progress report.
- March 20 – Good forum thread round-up – Man, it’s too bad we can’t really do any of these anymore. The forums have noticeably declined in quality over time.
- April 3 – SupComTalk first inaugural open thread – Our first open thread, wheeee!
- April 4 – Exclusive SupComTalk interview! … with myself?? – Get to know a bit more about me; the tables were turned and I was the interviewee for once.
- April 6 – Unconquerable conquers first ever SupComTalk 6-way FFA – Our first official SupComTalk FFA; Unconquerable easily walked away with the victory.
- April 14 – Supreme Commander Talk gets a forum – Yup, that’s right, we have a wiki and a forum now.
- April 24 – Exclusive SupComTalk interview with Chris Taylor – It was very awesome getting a chance to do this. I don’t think any other fansites can say they’ve interviewed the designer of the game.
That’s about all the meta I can handle for now. Oh, and do be sure to check out our post archives, which you can access by month and by category in the right sidebar. Most of the archived replays won’t play in the current version of the game and a lot of the news isn’t fresh anymore, but everything in the Strategy category still applies and is well worth a read. We’ve only been running this site for two months now, but with an average of over four posts a day, that is a lot of content.
And if you have any questions, ask the regulars here in the comments. I’m sure they’ll be willing to help you out (right guys?). If you’ve been a lurker up to this point and have never posted anything before, just leave a brief introductory note in the comments so we can get a better feel for who the readers are. Hope to see you in battle!

Hrmmm, dare I ask what you’re bitter about? The patch delay, I would assume?

Well, I’m certainly bitter about the patch delay.
By the way, I’m a Japanese student in central Washington.
