Overcharge works against ACU shields
Here’s a little tidbit that many of you probably didn’t know. As has been reported in the official forums, the ACU overcharge weapon does full damage against enemy ACU shielding. This means that you can completely drain an enemy Commander’s shields in a single shot! As you probably do know, the overcharge ability does only 100 damage against ACUs, to prevent instant game-over as soon as 2 ACUs get within range of each other. With this news however, there may still be occasions where it is useful to overcharge an ACU.
Although it is rare for a shielded ACU to engage in combat with another ACU, this is definitely worth remembering if you ever find yourself in the appropriate situation. Just imagine using this trick to take out the shield on your enemy, right when he thinks he has you as good as dead!

Although I have known this for a while it is pretty neat (: I wonder if it is a oversight or design feature.

If TAG_ROCK used it in his game with TheLittleOne maybe he could have gat a draw, but on the other hand TLO ACU had damage upgrade as well which would propably allow him to drop TR to 0 before getting below 4000.
Just a thought.

Oh man! I wish I would of known overcharge didn’t work on the Comm! X-) I found out about the shield thing in a game, where I had to escape my commander from my base since there was a monkeylord heading straight at it, and I was gonna try to enter the slightly defenseless main of my opponent. His Aeon commander had a shield, and I overcharged him (thinking I could kill him) only to see I just depleted his shield (though I did deplete all of it). I wouldn’t have bothered chasing him for another overcharge if I had known that wasn’t gonna work. >_>
