GPGnet patch coming next week
A new GPGnet patch is coming next week. I’ve spoken with Son of Shagrat, the Producer of GPGnet, and he has confirmed the following new features:
- An awards system, which will reward players for performing certain feats in ranked play (like, say, 5 wins in a row?). Awards will also be given to winners of past and future Clan Wars tournaments.
- A major revamp of the 2v2 ladder (with possible ladder ranking reset) and addition of a brand new 3v3 ladder. Ranked games look to be impeding on custom games’ turf. Also, hopefully new improvements to fix the dreaded connection issues.
- More tournaments, including tournaments run by volunteers.
- GPGbot, a chat bot (think IRC bot) for GPGnet. We’re not really clear on its role yet.

From the name of it, i think it will be more along the lines of “This guys a total *INSERT RACIAL TERM*!!!!” and then the GPGbot bends that person over and gives them a swift kick in the nuts out of the channel… I certainly hope it kicks for being Annoying, That way Shadorunner won’t ever be allowed to talk. HA HA

I just wish they’d stop for a minute and make a patching process that worked for everyone. Lots of people still can’t patch because of a number of problems when applying… I get the patch started, it the red progress bar goes ZOOM to the right, and the patcher disappears : /.
