Minor GPGnet Replay Vault bug
There’s a small bug I’ve noticed recently in the Replay Vault and I was wondering if it happens to anyone else. It looks like the “Game Type” is frequently being recorded incorrectly. For instance, I just played three 2v2 ranked ladder games tonight, but all three replays are showing up in the Reply Vault as “1v1 Ranked” when, of course, they should be “2v2 Ranked”. I’m not sure what’s up with that, but hopefully it can be fixed in the next GPGnet version? A more reliable way to try to figure out the game type is to look at the number of players in the game; all three of the replays I just mentioned have four player names listed, so it’s not possible that they would be 1v1 Ranked.

I have also noticed this. Mostly while looking at top player replays in the past. This has been a problem for a long time, and not just recently. I noticed while searching that games would be marked as 1v1 ranked, but would contain more than 2 players. I thought to myself… hmmm, that’s odd…. but never said anything about it.

Yeah, I think I may have seen it going on for awhile, but it finally clicked that it isn’t going to be fixed if nobody reports it, and by writing this blog post, hopefully it will come to somebody’s attention. I know some GPG employees read this blog.

Ya I have noticed this alot to…. Dosn’t bug me much but would be nice if it was fixed.

Hey guys, im really new to this whole game (which is the best thing ive played since TA and starcrft) but ive noticed since the new patch came out that my searches in the replay vault are not coming up with any results, even if i find a replay when i search the top players, then try using their exact name in the normal search i wont find the replay, has anyone else had this problem?

Disgraceful - I’ve never had that problem but if you are looking for replays by particular players, have you tried searching their name in the 1 v 1 rankings list? if you right click on the name in there, there is a option saying ‘View this players replays’, try that, and report back :)
Anyway about the replay vault.. I have never noticed the game type names being wrong bu map names are wrong frequently, with ‘burial mounds’ being the most popular map, even though noone actually plays it and the replay is of something like open palms or winter’s duel.

Sear - yes i have tried searching their name in 1v1 ranking, and in 2v2 and in 3v3, but it seems that the only way i can get any results is by using the search tom players, or most downloaded options. im not sure why but its only happened since the update. theres another weird thing. i just tried searching with no search parameters and i will get results, but then if i try just searching one of the replays, again nothing… anyone know whats going on?

Other wierd thing… Top 10 teams in replay vault is broken. Only replays I save on are team get showed up(me and ktachuck) and they are all 2v2 ranked games I save not neccesarly with him(The games I played with cyde are under top 10 teams). Odd.
