Supreme Commander Talk

Rake has been working hard on his Flail 2 Supreme Commander music video, which is, of course, the sequel to Flail. The second work in progress has been released (download link). At least in my humble opinion, Rake is currently the best video maker working with Supreme Commander footage. It doesn’t seem that hard to do from a novice’s perspective; all you have to do is capture footage and set it to music using an editing program, right? But Rake consistently puts the others to shame with his inventive camera angles and expert syncing between action and music. You’ll see what I mean when you watch his work. And I can’t imagine how many takes it took to get everything just right — if you mess up the camera angle just a little bit, you have to run the entire replay over from the beginning back to that point.

I just wish the Supreme Commander community was a bit bigger and we had more people doing this kind of stuff. This really is the best promotional material available for the game, and if we show it off to our non-playing friends a bit more, some of them will join our ranks.
